MARLA MULLEN, founder and principal of M A R L A Design Group, is a Boston and Nantucket-based designer who’s approach is inspired by the rare finds and unexpected pallets that energize a space with originality and story. With an eye for both detail and drama, an appreciation for ease and artistry, Marla composes designs that tell both the story of a property and the people who will enjoy it. Her signature can be found in the moments you didn’t see coming- but that you didn’t realize you wanted.
A desire to meld a sense of timelessness with the avant garde, Marla’s projects span chic downtown living quarters to story-driven dining to nouveau summer home design. With a background in both fashion, antiques, and auction houses, and a career spanning real estate, custom furnishings, and luxury apparel, M A R L A Design Group is our founder’s home for creating one-of-a-kind interiors.
